Okay finally finished watching Pursuit of Jade… and I get why it’s been talked about so much.
The first half? Easily a 10/10.
The production quality, the pacing, the way everything pulls you in , it was so well done. I was completely hooked.
The second half does slow down a bit though. It slips into slightly routine, predictable territory here and there.
But honestly? When you give me a total badass female lead, I’m already sold.
Everything else that works in the drama just becomes a bonus for me 😅
I clearly have a strong female character bias and I’m not even trying to hide it anymore.
And this one delivered.
The romance was actually done really well, not too rushed, not too dragged. It felt satisfying.
If I had to nitpick, I’d say the political intrigue could have been stronger. It had potential to be deeper, but it stayed a little surface level story wise.
But again… no major complaints.
Because overall, it was engaging, visually good, and had a female lead worth watching.
And sometimes, that’s more than enough.
