Staying or Walking Away – There’s No One Right Way
While I do agree that Samay Raina’s Still Alive is a masterclass of a comeback and he really nailed it.
There were a lot of insights in it, and overall it’s definitely worth watching.
But this is more about that one line from it that’s going viral everywhere…
Something like ” Fight only when the fight is fair. When the fight is not fair, fuck off from there”. People are making it viral like they were bestowed upon some life wisdom.
And yes, I do understand his context and it is not wrong.
But I don’t think it’s that simple either.
Because whether you choose to stay and fight,
or walk away from a situation…
that decision is completely personal.
It depends on your circumstances.
Your emotional strength at that point.
What you’re dealing with internally.
Not everyone has the option to walk away.
And not everyone has the strength to stay and fight.
Both choices come with their own cost.
And honestly… when has any fight ever been fair?
Have you ever seen a situation where both sides had equal ground, equal strength, equal emotional capacity?
It rarely works like that.
So maybe it’s not about choosing the “right” way.
Maybe it’s about choosing what you can handle in that moment.
And respecting that choice in yourself and in others.
Because sometimes staying takes courage…
and sometimes walking away takes even more.
“Not every battle is meant to be fought, and not every exit is a weakness.”
