Democracy in India now feels less like choosing the best candidate and more like rejecting the worst one.

We don’t really vote for leaders anymore.
We vote for the one least likely to ruin us faster.

With the existing parties, it’s hard to feel hopeful about any of them.
Too much history, too many patterns, too many repeated disappointments.

With newer ones, the anxiety is often stronger than the hope.
Not because they’ve failed yet, but because with time, everything somehow starts looking the same.

That’s the exhausting part. It’s not even the lack of options anymore.
It’s the lack of belief.

At this point, it feels less like choosing who can lead better
and more like choosing who might do the least damage.
