Be it your education or your prayer ; if it is giving you a sense of superiority instead of humbleness and kindness, then you are not doing it right.
Because the more truly educated you become, the more you realise how much you still don’t know.
And the more deeply spiritual you become, the softer your ego should get, not louder.
