Went to watch Blast Zone yesterday and honestly I already knew from the trailer itself that I was probably going to enjoy this movie .
But the movie actually surprised me a little and went beyond what I expected.
The story is not something very new honestly. It’s a familiar kind of setup but with enough surprises in between to keep things interesting. What I really liked was how no one in the family overshadowed anyone.
Everyone actually had proper presence in the movie. Even the female fighting sequences were not treated like some random “wow women can fight like this” moments added for applause and surprise but they actually had equal importance and proper space in the story like everyone in the family was a lead role.
And the screenplay is really good. There won’t be many moments where you feel bored because something or the other keeps happening.
Casting was honestly perfect. Arjun Sarja, Preity Mukhundhan, Abhirami and Vivek Prasanna…. everyone was perfect.
Arjun and Abhirami doing well was expected anyway. But Preity and Vivek genuinely surprised me.
Especially Preity Mukhundhan. She made the character feel very believable and inspiring while also looking THAT gorgeous on screen that half the time we were just staring at her .
And those subtle proud smiles she gives while fighting?? absolutely loved that touch and she stole my heart.
Also after many days this felt like an action movie where the fights were actually enjoyable to watch instead of just making you feel grossed out.
Loved the BGM too though I wished it was little stronger in few scenes.
Overall there was this constant smile on our faces while watching the movie.
Yes there are few flaws too probably… but honestly the positive parts completely dominated them for me.
